About Unlock PDF
Modufile's Unlock PDF tool removes password protection from encrypted PDF files entirely in your browser. You enter the correct document password, and the MuPDF engine authenticates the file and re-saves it without any encryption flags — producing an unlocked copy you can freely view, print, copy, and edit. Your password is never stored, transmitted, or logged anywhere. This tool does not bypass or crack encryption; it requires the legitimate password. The entire process runs client-side via WebAssembly, making it a secure and private way to remove PDF password protection.
